The health care debate has been going on for decades. Some type of health care reform has been the goal of nearly every administration since Teddy Roosevelt first called for a change in the industry nearly a century ago.
Now with the House of Representatives expected to take up debate on their reform bill late this week, the Obama administration is flirting with being the exception…succeeding where past lawmakers have failed.
The bills proposed by the House and Senate are not short nor easily understood. The language is complicated, and the attached amendments seem to reverse the points you worked so hard to understand.
Suffice it to say right now, there aren’t any hard and fast answers to what’s going to happen to you. But there are some broad goals lawmakers are working to accomplish, namely: to broaden insurance coverage and bring down health care costs.
